Overview:
Very similar to Little Crake, but its smaller, has a barred belly and has no red on its beak. Same habitat and behaviour as Little Crake.
Status:
Vagrant. 14 Records. Latest 2 records in 2001 and 2005. In 2001 a single bird was present at Simar Nature Reserve between the 15th and the 21st of April 2001. This bird was ringed. In 2005 a freshly dead bird was found on the 11th of April 2005 at Simar Nature Reserve.
When to See:
12 of the records were in Spring (March/April/May) while 1 was in November and the other was in October.
